Kristen went to the doctor once because her family thought she had a suspicious growth on her right ear. Turns out, it was her cell phone!

Beam saved me $15 the first morning I used it. I signed up the night before, and checked the box to receive daily alerts on my bank balance. In the morning I was heading to the bank on my way to work to make a withdrawal when Beam texted me my info. My wife and I get hit with a $15 fee if the balance in our checking account falls below $1,000...and I didn’t realize she had taken some money out, bringing us close enough to that minimum balance that my usual ATM withdrawal would have triggered the fee. I’ve also set the alert that now tells me when our account balance dips down too close to the minimum, so I have time to transfer money in before further spending means we’re paying more in fees. Beam worked great for me!

This is awesome! Now can get notifications when transactions happen, letting me know that shipments should be coming in. Like the ease, and particularly like the fact that I am not sending my account number. Good stuff!

I really think this is a great service. I use Bank of America and Beaming is quicker than using their iPhone application to check my balance. I also like the feature where I can be notified if checking accounts dip below zero or credit cards go over a set amount. Awesome!

The sign up process was very easy, no problems at all. I’m not usually too concerned about balances, since I’m pretty organized with finances (thanks to Quicken!), so not a ton of value in seeing the balance. But it is somewhat comforting to get confirmations of transactions, in case something unexpected happens, eg. id theft of some sort.

Would like to see a “forward” button on this page so I can easily share this information with friends and family.

This is a fantastic service, set up took just minutes. The turnaround time was amazing. I sent the text and had my reply before I even set the phone down. Another awesome product from Intuit!!

Great idea and love the iPhone list view.
One minor thing to change - the image on the “Welcome to Quicken Beam!” e-mail is broken. It should be at webquickenqa.oss.intuit.com / quickenweb / images / mobile / banner_bg.gif but isn’t being loaded - possibly missing graphic or wrong location in code.

Nice work! I have a few comments:
1 - if you are using an iPhone, you first have to login/register on a regular browser - there is no place to sign up using the safari app on the iPhone. (No biggie, just couldn’t use my iPhone immediately)
2 - You indicate that you send the text messages ‘In the morning’ Define that. If you send me text messages at 6AMPST (that’s 9AMEST) then I will be sad. Better yet, give me an option to state when I want delivery. i.e. Do not deliver text between X and Y hours. Twitter incorporates a similar feature, BTW.
That’s it - great work!

I’m (overly) cautious about identity theft since it’s happened to me before, so getting a daily 5-most-recent-txns digest means I don’t have to obsessively poll my account balance. Really good stuff, and you can’t beat the price. Thanks for making this!
